You should always register as unemployed on jobnet.dk on the very first day of your unemployment. This is essential if you want to receive unemployment insurance benefits. If you are not registered on jobnet.dk you will not be entitled to receive unemployment benefits. Use your Danish “MitID” to gain access to jobnet.dk.
After you registered as unemployed on jobnet.dk we need your note of unemployment (in Danish: Ledighedserklæring).
Use your Danish “MitID” to gain access to note of unemployment. We need diffent kinds of information from you with regards to your profession, previous employment etc.
Having received the declaration we can process your request for unemployment benefits. If you are entitled to receive benefits we will send you a written confirmation (in Danish: Godkendelse af dagpenge). So keep an eye on your "inbox" on Min side on fa-k.dk.
By the end of the month you should fill in your unemployment insurance card – dagpengekort. Use your Danish “MitID” to gain access to the card.
Fill in your joblog on jobnet.dk and update your joblog at least once a week. You are obliged to apply for at least 2 vacancies per week.
You need to have an active CV on jobnet.dk while you are unemployed. It is important that you fill in your CV as soon as possible.
We are required by law to approve your CV two weeks after your registration as unemployed on jobnet.dk.
Please make sure, that your CV is accessible to employers and do not forget to write your contact details so that any interested employer can get a hold of you.
We will contact you in writing and you to participate (attend) 3 different “Jobsamtaler” within the first 3 months of your unemployment period.
At the “Jobsamtale” we inform you about the different options you have when you are unemployed and about how you get a permanent job as soon as possible.
You will also be asked to participate at 3 diffent “Jobsamtaler” at your local Jobcentre. The first “Jobsamtale” at your Jobcentre will take place when you have been unemployed for at least 3 months.
To receive unemployment insurance benefits, you have to be available for the Danish labour market. This means that you are obliged to find full time employment as soon as possible. You are required to apply for at least 2 job-vacancies per week.
It is important that you familiarise yourself with the different requirements or you may lose your unemployment insurance benefits.
You will be asked to attend interviews and/or meetings at Din Faglige A-kasse as well as the Jobcentre. When we ask you (in writing) to book a meeting with us, your are required to do so within the timeframe stipulated.
When you get a job, you must remember to contact your Jobcentre in order to sign off as unemployed. You must sign off on your first working day.
We then receive a notification from the Jobcentre telling us, that you have signed off, meaning that you are no longer entitled to receive unemployment benefits from Din Faglige A-kasse.
